Build a method into a full investigation
The method which I found to be more relevant and insightful is the experimentation with the scanner and the investigation of the effects that this can cause. This technique will help me deconstruct the existing carpet design and reproduce new patterns.

What is my inquiry?
My inquiry is to reproduce and create new carpet designs out of the existing ones. As this is not going to be made randomly, my aim is to see deeply in each carpet design in order to investigate it critically, according to its content and meaning. This can be done with the help of some rules and restrictions.

Speed
In this experiment I’m scanning the same carpet design with various speeds in the way I’m moving the book. I have investigated which is the difference between the speeds and recorded the results.

Conclusion
The fastest you move the book while scanning it, the fewer data will be recorded. Also, the result of the scanning document while moving the book at high speed is more complicated and difficult to be recognized.
