My investigation has evidence of exhaustive and I have used many investigation methods to record and observe my site. However, I have to see more deeply and critically.

The gif animation was interesting, and I can watch the animation ‘rug’ by the film director Jonathan Hodgson, as a reference.

The experiment with the scanner was very interesting. I can use this with the text as well. Not only using the images.

I can combine all the stuff I scanned/collected, and create something new, maybe in a different format(e.g. physical). I can connect all the textures together and create a new carpet.

Next step – I have to focus on an investigating method (e.g. scan) and build on it. I don’t have to use only one media.

For example, Am I trying to deconstruct patterns through my investigation, and with what methods/ways can I do this?

– What is my inquiry?
– How lenses affect the book itself?
– What am I doing with the data that I have collected after the scanning technique?
– What is more interesting? Scanning images or text?

I have to focus, playing with the scanner and be more exhaustive with the scanner now.
When I move the book quickly on the scanner, then I can’t record something. When I move it slowly, then new forms and shapes occur.

The outcomes of my investigation are truly aesthetically beautiful.
What did I learn from my investigations? What I mean and which is the conclusion?

Classmate/ Marta Zabik
What I liked most is the gif animation. You can create a transformation video using the rugs. How the shapes in a rug change to form another rug?

Classmate/ Conor Maguire
I can investigate the pages of the book (maybe the outlet, the typefaces)
Is the content of the book conceptual?

The process of my investigation is very good, and I have made a lot of things/ used various techniques. How can I apply this to a wider field? Max mentioned that I don’t have to apply this in a wider field. This is not the purpose of this project.

Go to the next page and find out which method I built into a full investigation >
