Creation of a new carpet design
After I have scanned all the carpet images from the book, I have connected them all together(100 images) to create a new carpet design. The images are shown in the same order as shown in the book.

I have then converted the final composition to black & white, in order to investigate the value of the colour in the image.

Pixels & colour palette
I have converted the previous compositions into pixels in order to retrieve the colour palette of the new carpet design.

It can be clearly seen that each carpet has a colour that stands out more than the others. However, the combinations of the colours on each carpet design can easily cause feelings and emotions. On the one hand, carpets which contain brights and warm colours are connected with feelings such as happiness and joy. On the other hand, carpets with dark and hazy colours may cause sad vibes. In addition, colours are highly associated with the historical and social context of a country.
