reference – DOESN’T EXIST
Doesn’t Exist is a fashion magazine seen from a cinematic perspective. The particularity of this publication is to create a new space that has long been used by both fashion and film industries. As a mutual feeding of references in all their aesthetic and intellectual fields, the magazine seeks to develop a visual dialogue between the two industries, generating a fully cinematic fashion content.
The idea behind polaroids
I have decided to use my polaroid camera to captures the photos. The film that I have used is monochrome because the song is fully black and white. Even the title of the song has the word ‘white’.
Also, a polaroid camera captures the moment, the time, the interaction, the exact thing as it is. No effect/ filters, no edit.
My aim was to show the main feelings of the song (depression, pain, hope). To achieve this I have used some key sentences of the story, such as:
– The old ceiling, which I cannot clearly see, is old, greasy and smells so bad.
– My body was so compressed, feeling like I was tightened with the branches of an old dark tree.
– My hands were trembling and dancing with my silence, like the way the clock pointers roll.
– I was feeling that I am alone, in a cell, and in front of me a series of huge black metal bars.

conversion of polaroids into transparent images
method & process
–
I wanted to convert the polaroid images into transparent photos because in this way you can see through the image, and get a different meaning/ approach.

artwork
My aim was to create an artwork; a three-dimensional work of art that the viewer can interact with. This artwork is consists of 6 layers, using transparent images that the viewer can see through. The viewer can also combine each of the images he wants, to create a sequence. The sequence each time is different, but the meaning is the same.
